Capture the workings of your mind Down on a piece of paper Get you when you're on your own Away from your mothers own That day we carry about with us Like a shadow that we can trust Scribbled notes, scraps of paper Something I will attend to later A box of treasure and things much deeper Gathered and collected Scrapbooks of politics To show the young some other tricks Cuttings of wisdom Down on a piece of paper Down on a piece of paper
2.
Scribbled notes and paper Gathered on the floor Scribbled notes and paper Capture the workings of your mind Down on a piece of paper Get you when you're on your own Away from your mothers own Scribbled notes Scraps of paper Something I'll attend to later

Another bag that contains an adventure One I once had that won't leave ya Deep down in my, in my pockets I found evidence of a forgotten locket Do I need this reminding? Of last years findings Shopping lists Old receipts Lists of do's and don'ts Deep down in my pockets I found evidence of a forgotten locket Do I need this reminding Of last years finding Engulfed in history's showers Engulfed in yesterdays powers Listening Hindering the empowered Pictures I kept in a box An envelope never sent Sitting there Waiting to be discovered again As I reach for my pen Scribbled notes On scraps of paper A list of do's & don'ts A list of do's and don'ts

Its 8 o'clock And you know what Pots and pans And wooden spoons We clapped for you But we let you down Its 8 o'clock But we let you down We clapped for you But we let you down And that's what we found Its 8 o'clock But we let you down We clapped for you But we let you down Open the windows Open the doors Professionals asleep on the floor It's 8 o'clock and it's quiet outside It's 8 o'clock and it's quiet outside It's 8 o'clock and it's quiet outside It's 8 o'clock and it's quiet outside

Peter Norman 02:48
Joy & pride Because Peter Norman was a local boy born in Coburg Shame at the way he was treated And the way he continues to be treated He is a man who understood the time A heroes life That all human beings were created equal Irrespective of race, gender, and class Another time another place No no no no Another time another place No no no no If he could wear his human rights badge In 1968 Ostracised, penalised No no no no Another time another place No no no no No no no no Seen around the world as a symbolism Of the inherent inequalities that existed based on race No no no no Another time another place Standing on the dais A small badge His whole life A heroes life No no no no He made a stand on the day And when he came back to this country He was punished Decade after decade No no no no Another forgotten face Another forgotten name And he continued to pay the price all his life No no no no And in this country he continues to be a pariah

Another gig Another poster Another argument with a punter Another tune Another writer Another medler Another chancer Another complaint Another letter Another song Another creator Another medler Another chancer For next time Another plan Another phone call No audience to see you fall The sorrow Nobody there The sorrow Does anybody care? The aftermath of the party That we put on for you In the end When the lights go out In the end All over bar the shout In the end When the lights go out In the end All over bar the shout In the morning In the morning

He's gone he's gone Another one It's too bad, its too bad, its too bad Does your mama know This aint a picture show Your voice has gone North to the wind Does anybody know? We put on that show He's gone he's gone Another one It's too bad, its too bad, its too bad Does your mama know This aint a picture show Your voice has gone North to the wind Does anybody know? We put on that show Capture that energy and trap In a bottle, let it out No screens, no snaps, no selfies Shoulder to shoulder Jumping in time together Where did they all come from? What corners of the city? For three hours they escaped To capture that chill and trap Where else are they going tonight? Where else is there to go? The poor, the tribes, misguided youth A dance craze The heat, thrown together Where else are they going to be? Upon a dark room A sound, a message, a magnet That cannot be contained Could simmer, forever Explosion, an earthquake I felt it, it still remains Tonight, I felt it, it still remains I felt it again tonight He's gone he's gone Another one It's too bad, its too bad, its too bad Does your mama know This aint a picture show Your voice has gone to the wind Does anybody know? We put on that show He's gone he's gone Another one He's gone he's gone Another one He's gone he's gone Another one She's gone she's gone Interested one Nothing written down No pieces of paper Just pictures in the sand And stories & song To pass the knowledge on Through the land we'll never own There's a picture in the sand You may struggle to understand Picture in the sand On the land He's gone he's gone Another one He's gone he's gone Another one Just pictures in the sand He's gone he's gone Another one He's gone he's gone Another one He's gone he's gone Another one

about

A second solo album wasn't really part of the plan, but with the current climate as it is, on his own at home, Erin still found himself coming up with music and songs. These tunes started following a theme, that led to a film idea, and the sounds and visuals grew together influencing each other. To present a whole album in this way seemed like something he hadn't done before.

Its amazing what we as humans can gather over the years....
